STRONG MAMA & BABY FITNESS
The Happy Fitness 6 Week Strong Mama & Baby Post Natal Fitness Programme offers mums with babies from 4 months through to toddler and pre schooler age, the opportunity to workout safely without having to arrange childcare.
Our programmes run for 6 weeks to ensure mums have the best chance to improve their fitness levels safe and effectively. Many mums feel much fitter and healthier after attending their first 6-week programme but see even better results if they continue their Strong Mama journey throughout maternity leave and beyond.
Our Strong Mama and Baby Fitness Classes are proven to;
Strengthen the core and pelvic floor
Improve full body strength & cardiovascular fitness
Boost energy levels and mood in an effort to improve mental health
Recapture self-confidence around like minded mums in a safe and compassionate environment.
The classes are designed for all post-natal women from 4 months to preschool age. Or for mums that have completed the Happy Fitness 12 Week Post Natal Fitness Programme and are looking to progress.
Our classes are comfortable, relaxed, very sociable and can be adapted to any level of fitness. You’re welcome to attend the classes with or without baby/toddler/pre-schooler.
NEED TO KNOW: Mums must have received a 6-week postnatal check from their GP and have been given the all clear to return to exercise. 12 weeks after a C-Section. Mums will be asked to complete a Pre-Activity Questionnaire prior to participation. Mums but be at least 4 months post-natal or must have completed the Happy Fitness 12 Week Post Natal Fitness Program in order to attend. If your looking to return to exercise and are less than 4 months post-natal take a look at our 12 Week Post Natal Fitness Program. Mums will be asked to complete a Pre-Activity Questionnaire prior to participation.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS:
The workouts will be challenging but are adaptable and suitable for mums of all fitness levels. The workouts will be low impact with higher impact options available (for mums further along in their post-natal journey) and are moderate to high intensity. Each session is different but will include a warm up, a strength or cardio workout and a cool down. Some weeks we use equipment and others we stick to bodyweight only.
Included in your class booking I can perform a Diastasis Recti Assessment upon request.
